Continued success
Thanks Bob! Really appreciate that feedback.
Hi Gauher,
Thanks for the 2 great videos.Mobile is indeed BIG.What struck me though was the easy list creation aspect. If you thought FB groups was a great and overlooked idea, then SMS is the lazy eazeeee way.But what bothers me though still is the fact that when I see myself as a customer I would certainly begin to get frustrated with these uninvited SMSs getting my attention and time (though they may be beneficial and helpful in the long run). And when I see the future of mobile marketing in about 3 yrs from now I do not know what all changes phases we would go thru regarding mobile marketing.Picturise this — u get so many SMS ads every min of the day that u just dont want to touch that phone of yours, however for u to keep in tch with ur friends u should take it, and subject urself to those ads .
Getting into Mob marketing though.
I think that your videos provided a lot of great material and content for free. However, while I agree that mobile marketing is going be hot, I can’t help but think that at some point people will be able to block this type of marketing because there is a charge for texting charged by the phone carriers. This is going to upset a great number of people who have to pay to get advertising. At some point I feel there will be some type of regulation that states you can market to a phone much like was seen with blanet faxing. Timing is critical…get in quick while there is little competiton and people are not too upset yet by getting an advertisment on their phone once in a while.
arun and Michelle:
You are both so right that people will not (and should not) get uninvited text messages. You’ll notice that what we are teaching here is creating something that people WANT to receive and explicitly give permission to send. There are already laws against mobile spam and there will be more. The key to success is to provide relevant value and only send messages in strict accordance with what your subscribers signed up to receive.
Hi Gauher!
I still don’t get the concept. What is this 4 day SMS course all about? I’m interested though about Mobile marketing.
Wow! this is a great information you share here. Thanks for sharing. But i have one question. Can some use trumpia.com from anywhere in the world because i’m from Africa?
Hi, I understand the point Kim is making that we only subscribe people to our sms mini-course who want to get our messages–but how do we get in front of them in the first place? I think that’s the key to the spam concern.
I think mobile business is great and I agree with some of us here who concern about mobile spam. I love it though coz it can go direct to the customer attention unlike email.
great info ..looking forward to learning more from you guys
Maurice:
The 4 day course is an example of how you can use SMS text messaging in your business. Maybe you are already providing some sort of niche information or maybe you want to engage with people outside of email so that you are top of mind. Or maybe this is not the type of mobile that fits with your business. That’s OK. We teach a lot of different concepts and some will work for you and some will not.
Tomiwa:
I believe you can use Trumpia in Africa. Best way to find out is to sign up for your free trial and test it. Remember to use MOBIBLUEPRINT for your promo code to get double credits.
Rik:
Great question. You put your opt in on your website, your Facebook page, your business card (if you still use one), your online advertising. Basically anywhere you are marketing you should integrate your mobile opt in. Just like when we first got URLs and had to figure out how to get it in front of people.
Hi Kim & Gauher
Kim, I Bought you book about a month ago. The book was great, so I can’t wait to see what you guys will present in the course.
Teaming up with Gauher was an excellent decision. I bought his CPA course a few months ago and I must say the content was excellent, practical and actually implementable.
I’m really glad that you guys have steered away from the “SOUNDING-OVER-HYPIE – APPROACH” with the launch of Mobi Blueprint.
I commend you for this.
I wish you well with this launch.
You guys both Rock!!
John Schoeman
Kim, in your reply to Rik you mentioned that “you put your mobile opt-in on your facebook page, website, business card etc.
Can you please just re-clarify exactly what you mean by “mobile opt-in???”
John:
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I am so glad to have teamed up with Gauher on this one. With the exception of how we say the word “mobile” (LOL) we are in complete alignment on our views. We are both very excited about mobile and the potential opportunity and we are also realists. A successful mobile business will take some effort, but it will be worth it.
Believe me, This is great stuff and if you want to learn, Follow this Course at this site.
I have already studied a different course a month ago that got me into this and I am presently active in AdMob and Adfonic in the Advertising Dept and OfferMobi, Peerfly and others in this CPA network. I am a roookie in this, lost money because I learned this stuff fast, signed up for CPA Publishing sites to advertise my campain from the CPA network sites and anxious to get right and run Ads to make money. BUT.. I did learn is you must be patient and go slow. I know my mistakes..
As I now have learned is to make sure that the Web Site is Optimized for all Mobile smart Phones.
I now have everything set up for my new phase-2 of my new adventure that will make some good money in return, Yup its my turn;o)
I signed up for this course to learn again and more… if you want a adventure in Mobile Marketing, follow along and learn, its fairly easy!
Good Luck Everyone!
Harold

Great stuff. Did I miss how much the mobibluprint launching on the 25th is going to be? Again, great stuff and thanks.
Oak:
You did not miss it because we haven’t announced it yet. Be sure to watch your email though because there is more stuff to come before the 25th.
Sounds like mobile is definitely the place to be. Thanks for the initial two videos, they had great info. I am looking forward to the four day course.
Bruce:
Sure, I’ll clarify. By “mobile opt-in” what I mean is that sign up box where people input their name and cell phone number. It is the mechanism that people use to sign up (or opt-in) to your mobile campaign. The mobile opt-in for our mobile mini course is right at the top of this page. It got there by me copying and pasting the code from inside Trumpia into WordPress.
Thanks for asking. =:)
I subscribed to your mobile opt-in form and got the first text message with a 4-digit verification code (sent from a UK number).
(1) There’s nowhere to input the code
(2) When I try to verify from the email link it doesn’t recognise my information, so that fails too.
Can you explain?
Patrick:
When I subscribed I did not get a four digit code, so I don’t know what to tell you about that. Also, I have no idea why it doesn’t recognize your information on the email link. So I have sent your questions to Trumpia support and will let you know as soon as they get back to me. Typically they have a great response time (not sure about Sundays as I have never submitted a support ticket on a Sunday) so I am confident we’ll have a solution shortly.
When someone subscribes to such a ’4-day SMS mini course’ from another country and then wants to stop receiving messages, where will the subscriber’s ‘STOP’ message be sent to? For instance, I am in Australia. I noticed I can select my country and the country code +61 is being pre-popped. So I sign up and let’s say I am the customer wanting to sign up for your fee mini course, but after 3 messages I want to stop receiving them. Will my reply SMS (‘STOP’) be sent to a USA based number?
If so, it may cost me a fortune to send it…or will this be a local SMS in respect of my phone carrier’s charges?
I am only asking as I am trying to put myself into the prospects’ shoes.
Thanks Kim.
The concern is about COST. I am doing local mobile Marketing for my offline business for almost 3 years. It is very popular here with local providers. Being an advertiser I am the one who is paying the cost for sms. After getting the sms-broadcast, we are receiving lots of calls with requests for information, sometimes sms, but mainly people want to know more details and so they don’t bother about the cost when they call us back. Of course I am talking about local marketing.
I have used different providers and of course even little difference in cost per sms makes big difference when we are sending it to thousands people.
We always make comparison between 2-3 providers to choose best value for money.
Talking about international campaigns, I have no idea about cost and who is bearing the cost? I believe that we, as advertisers should pay the cost.
Receiving sms could be very annoying, even the most useful sms. Simply because it is coming instantly, even at your private time. By the nature of my business I was also a victim of annoying sms broadcasts. But at least it was free for the person who receives it which makes it bearable…
Kim,
I connected with you on Linkedin (nice way to integrate mentioning that in one of your calls I downloaded, btw!) and wanted to commend you on the high quality content here. I was actually thinking about starting a “working group” on the Warrior Forum specifically about SMS list building. I have been pretty delighted by my 35,000+K, 50+% open rates…but after your videos I am wow-ed by the potential of SMS Listbuilding.
Do yo see any room for starting a forum specifically geared towards SMS/Text Listbuilding?
Also, you made a point in a blog post (or call, can’t remember which one) about how the market outside of the USA is different. In many ways, the US may be ahead of the game when it comes to the commercial web but it’s behind when it comes to parts of Europe and Asia and the mobile web.
I think it’s very important to network with people with an international background so we can learn from each other (I’m from the States but live and work abroad alot).
Anyway, I think you guys have really taken some thought leadership when it comes to SMS list building and I suspect there’s a real demand for a place to build a community specifically around this topic. We all know that “the money is in the list” but I suspect that if there’s gold in email list there’s platinum in SMS Lists.
Phones technology has been around for what 100 years and still tends to be one of the most personalized communication tools we have. Personalization translates to more trust, higher conversions and ultimately more leads, sales and PROFITS.
I’d love to hear about any plans you have about creating a community of forward thinking minds he see the value of sms list building!
Good idea. I signed up but had to immediately cancel because you agree to receive up to 30 texts a day. I will re-sign after reactivating my cheap Metro PCS phone. This sounds too powerful to pass up. However, make sure you have unlimited SMS and be perpared to get a bunch junk texts. The video even states this fact … don’t ignore this key point!
Rollie:
I don’t know the answer to your question about international texting. I will check in with Trumpia for specifics about how their system handles this.
Angelique:
In North America BOTH the advertiser and the consumer pay for the text message. It costs to send it and it costs to receive it. As a consumer this cost is much more bearable with an unlimited texting plan. In some countries commercial SMS is paid entirely by the business. I think that it is good for consumers to pay something (even if it is a portion of their texting plan) so that they only sign up for offers for which they are truly interested.
S Barbara:
Love how you think! And right here in MobiBlueprint we will have a forum with a particular area dedicated to SMS / Text Messaging. Based on the feedback and initial response we are getting I am sure this will be a robust group with a fine international mix. We’d love to have you in the group.
Chuck:
OK, I am very confused. If you signed up for our Mobile Mini Course you will only get 8 messages per month. Did you see something on Trumpia about that for signing up for their service? I don’t get any text messages from them at all.
And, no, you missed a point in my video – you will NOT get a bunch of junk texts from us or any other mobile marketer because the carriers will not allow it to happen. When people STOP a campaign in unusual proportions it triggers an audit from the carriers who can shut down a campaign or a short code. Because the carriers can do this the text message companies themselves monitor this very carefully. There is no danger in opting in to an ethical campaign for fear you will get unwanted messages.
That said, I think that anyone even considering a mobile marketing business simply must have an unlimited data plan (including unlimited text messages). You wouldn’t try to build an Internet business with only 30 minutes on Internet connectivity would you?
Thanks so much for the great videos. I did sign up for the course, but it seems like Cricket is not compatible with your system. No message came through. I did ask it to resend, but still nothing.
That is a shame – also something to keep in mind I guess while marketing – don’t target Cricket users
I do plan on changing service providers in a few months
Kim:
I’m really big on focus and I’m only specifically interested in your SMS Module (ex: http://mobilemarketingprofits.com/products/text-messaging-module/). I understand you guys have the mobiblueprint product coming out so is there any over lap? More specifically if someone buys the text messaging module will they also get access to the forum?
Also, I’d be curious to know if you guys have had any discussion with Adam Roth @ OfferMobi I bet a webinar featuring how to monetize with some of their click to call offers would be great.
Can you share any stats about what’s a good optin % for an sms list? As an example 30-35% and above is considered pretty good for email, what’s considered good for an sms list.
Also, could you share any stats on sms list subscriber acquisition costs?
Tx
I also would be very interested in being an affiliate of Mobi Blueprint. Please send me info.
Hi, Kim–
thanks for clarification re: sign-ups for your sms mini-course. That makes sense that they’d sign up from the form on your website. What about the option of using admob to put the sign-up in front of free app users?
Also, will you be covering creating your own apps?
Perhaps this would be a whole lesson in itself, but I’d be interested in hearing your take on the advantages/disadvantages of hiring a developer vs using one of the template services for building your own app for the iphone.
thanks a bunch~ look forward to call on Tues eve!
Rik
Jill:
You have discovered one of the bummer deals (can you tell I am a Gen Xer) about mobile. It does not always work universally. Sorry for that. I did try to go with a platform that worked on as many different carriers as possible.
S Barbara:
No, this text messaging module that you mention is not a part of MobiBlueprint, it is from my company. There is no forum that goes along with that product. On a brighter note yes there is OfferMobi info inside MobiBlueprint along with more information about SMS. The main difference between MobiBlueprint and my company’s offers is that MB is focused for Internet Marketers while Mobile Marketing Profits is focused solely on local business mobile marketing. SMS is the same tool, but I teach it completely differently for each audience.
Gene:
Actually, the affiliate program is not yet open but Gauher will announce when it is.
Rik:
Great idea to use mobile advertising to build your SMS list! Yes, we cover mobile advertising and building mobile apps inside MobiBlueprint.
Hello,Kim,
I’ve signed up 4 day course, but all in english, can I change the words in non english for my customers

I like the two informational videos and I am going to sign up with Trumpia to start using it to build my free mobile phone service business..

@ Kim:
Good to know. Are you familiar with Mike Keonig’s (of Traffic Geyser fame) product http://www.monsterfollowup.com/ ?
I’m not affiliated in anyway but they are doing some interesting stuff with unified message (email, voice, sms) and lead gen and list building.
IF there’s some synergies perhaps you guys can connect with them and offer any of your buyers a vendor discount (hint, hint, lol)
Pran:
You will create your own mobile mini course in whatever language you would like. I don’t know of a way to translate our course.
Mark:
Would love to have you in MobiBlueprint! We officially open the doors tomorrow on August 25 at Noon Eastern time. Today we are holding a webinar (the same one at two different times) to share some amazing statistics about mobile, outline the multitude of opportunities available and give more details about MobiBlueprint.
To get on that webinar, please sign up here:
http://www.mobiblueprint.com/webinar.php
S Barbara:
I will look into that program and find whatever synergies may be available. =? Thanks for your continued comments. Look forward to getting to know you in MobiBlueprint.
For the questions that came in about international sign ups for the mobile mini course, please see this FAQ page:

Kim and Gauher,
You both have shared excellent information. Thank you so much for providing the opportunity to get in early on the next technology tsnami with mobile marketing tools. I’ve already presented 2 clients with proposals to implement mobile mini courses related to their core service offerings. A community organization Empowering Today’s Professionals is considering a Career Management mobile mini course for their members and an event production company iPower Global Solutions is considering a How to Acquire Sponsors to Fund Events mobile mini course. I already used the MOBIBLUEPRINT code when I registered iPowerGS on Trumpia.
I will definitely be on the 9PM call tonight.
Hi Kim, I signed up yesterday morning for the SMS mini course using my mobile number, but unfortunately I never received anything. I receive and send other texts with the phone.
I’m sorry you did not get the SMS messages in the mobile mini course. I will see if there is a list of carriers that Trumpia supports. Sometimes certain carriers do not work with certain short codes.
WOW! That is so cool. Please keep us posted on how these proposals turn out. We would be so thrilled if you were able to get clients going on mobile using that video.
I also had trouble with the mini course
I have Verizon. Received the first opt in messages but nothing thereafter.
