Hey Guys/Gals,
I would love to get your comments on the small Powerpoint presentation that I did on mobile marketing and also what you thought of the one-hour live presentation I gave last year.
I would love to hear from those who are already involved in mobile marketing and see the potential in this new advertising medium.
Cheers!
Gauher
Great stuff-
t’would be nice to get in on the beginning of something.
For a change.
Hello Gauher
How are you
Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you I sat through the whole session on Mobile Marketing and loved every minute of it.
In fact I was so intrigued by the method that I took scrupulous notes throughout and went along to all the websites you mentioned, did some of my own research and realised what you were saying about this being a brand new area for Marketers and that the area is dominated by the “brands” at present.
The sites you mentioned were brilliant – set up accounts but ran into the exact problems with the Mobile complaint landing pages.
You know I have had Xsite pro since launch and the new version 2 and until I saw your Video – never realised it had a built in Mobile application! Doh!! Shows how many of us like to read through manuals.
Anyway I am experimenting with it.
Would love to hear more about this market
Are you setting up a course?
Take care
Hamant
The presentation was great! I first saw you mention these concepts at Traffic Tornado so I cant wait until you open the doors.
Gauher,
I watched both presentations and am blown away by the potential – thank you for sharing the information!
I’m a FT marketer focused on PPC/PPV, but I intend on being on the cutting edge for the mobile revolution. I haven’t done any mobile marketing yet, but I’m a HUGE believer in partnering and I bring a lot to the table in terms of resources. So if anyone wants to discuss partnering where we can create a 1+1=3 scenario, please email me at gs10000 at optonline.net.
Can’t wait to see what’s next Gauher
Greg
Hi Gauher,
You really knocked my socks off with your Mobile Blueprints videos … talk about opportunity.
I especially liked your ideas on lead generation and coupons.
Look forward to more of your insights on this medium.
All the best from Athens,
Bob
Gauher:
The presentation and video were awesome. I’m hoping you have plans to launch a course on this. Although, I get the sense you’re trying to learn the ropes yourself right now. Either way, I hope you figure it out soon and put together a course for us.
I’d launch something myself to learn but I’m still trying to “master” PPC;) I’m a bit behind the times.
Travis
Hi Gauher
Great to see more information.
Gauher – I have been playing around with Admob and creating some landing pages but how did you create landing pages with request for all the information that you asked for in the case study?
When I tried to create a landing page I only have – Email – phone number – and other .
I tried other – but nothing happens –
Look forward to more details of your case study
Thanks again

Very informative and eye opening. I knew a little about mobile marketing, but didn’t see its potential like I do now. I feel fortunate to have come across this information. Appreciate it.
Hey Gauher,
Great summary. I’ve been investigating mobile PPC for the past 6 months mainly to promote Pay Per Call offers. My impression so far is that yes, I agree with you that mobile advertising will be huge, but I don’t think that affiliate marketing is where we want to be when it finally breaks out. It seems this is how you feel as well based on the various business models you listed in your presentation.
I found the same thing as you – merchants either don’t have a clue about mobile devices or else don’t give a crap. Even though I was getting .05 clicks on Adwords Mobile for some fairly competitive keywords, ultimately the sites and order pages they landed on rendered horribly on the mobile screen.
The good news is that Google doesn’t seem to know how to score mobile landing pages so they seem to give every keyword in an adgroup a 7/10 Quality Score LOL! Kinda makes sense, since a mobile Website is by definition a “thin” site – it just has to be.
Yep, MobiSitesGalore.com is a terrific resource for building and hosting your own mobile sites for free. I even tried some Adwords Mobile PPC to ePN mobile. This took a bit of custom coding to make auction feeds work, but without proper support for cookies and the big warning from eBay to wait until the user was on a desktop machine before placing bids didn’t translate very well into conversions.
I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for merchants to come around and start building mobile ecommerce sites. I think it will come down to mobile displays getting larger and higer res first before ecommerce really takes off on mobile devices. This is probably at least another 2 years away. In North America at least.
Your suggestions for taking the initiative and creating mobile services and apps really seems to be where we need to begin positioning ourselves, rather than hoping and waiting for merchants and affiliate networks to get on the ball.
Looking forward to hearing more from you on this.
Rich
My first intro to this technique. It’s heart stopping!!! I couldn’t find out who pays for the outgoing text messages? This method will likely force almost everyone to sign up for unlimited text messaging plans. So, I rather doubt that carriers will do much to prevent text message spamming. Government involvement likely sometime in the future. Get on the bandwagon now!!
Hello Gauher,
I am pretty much interesting with the idea of mobile ads. Me myself right now
is building my own system of mobile ads. It is for my own purpose, off course on
the business area. I just want to execute my idea.
Thank you
Hey Gauher,
Powerful stuff. This is no doubt the wave of the future and I want to ride it. Please keep me informed as to the next course sign up.
Thanks!
