Mobile Campaign Update

Hey Guys,

Here is the update on the mobile campaign.  I generated 280 leads including full mailing addresses.  I bribed the leads into giving me their full addresses by offering them a free CD-rom tutorial on a particular topic.  I figured it would be cheap to create a CD and mail it out.  I was planning on using a service like Kunaki and then found out that it would costs me almost $7 per lead to have them duplicate and mail out the CD rom tutorial.  Now I am not about to spend $1,980 mailing out the CD rom to these prospects.

Instead what I did was go to Vistaprint.com and create a postcard to send out to them telling them that due to high demand, we have run out of CD roms.  I know, I know. A slight fib.  Instead I indicated to them on the postcard that if they can still access the contents of the CD rom by going to a particular web site.

Total costs to mail out 280 postscards was roughly $160.

So far my investment has been $250 (leads) + $160 (postcards) = $410

I will plaster related CPA offers on the web site and also have the video on the web site redirect to a related CPA offer.

I will let you guys know if I make any money. ;)

I welcome your comments.

  1. Hi Gauher

Man, I’m really excited and anticipating your program! I have some ideas and have been talking to my buddy that develops mobile apps for Iphones and truly believe the opportunities are endless!

Good luck on this case study and if you have even the slightest success (which I feel is very possible by the response you received), I’m ready to emulate you immediately! If your free information is this good, then what the heck will you be selling in the program? ;P

    Looking forward to this….November right?

    Hey there Gauher,

Ok, I was surprised to hear you say this. You have been such white hat in your cpa info you have presented. Also since you come from such a place of experience on marketing I would have thought before you put something out there you would have calculated the kunaki cost. Actaully they burn for about $1.95 per unit with $8.95 in shipping, so the cost would actually been $10.95 per unit X 280 = $3,052.00.

I am not critizing, I am just surprised, because you are known for doing your homework first. It probably would have been easier to just opt them into a FREE report on one of your sites.

I am still a big fan.
